Functional Home Assessment

Our occupational therapists complete a functional evaluation in the home environment to analyze the client’s ability to carry out daily household activities. Recommendations are provided regarding adaptive equipment/ assistive devices and/or personal assistance needed to improve the client’s overall function and home safety.

Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS)

Our occupational therapists are trained to use an occupational therapy assessment called AMPS, which is a valid, reliable and standardized approach that enhances the objectivity of the evaluation process. This functional assessment is performed in the home environment and leads to recommendations that aim to increase the client’s ability to function in an optimal and safe manner.

Home Accessibility Assessment

Our occupational therapists complete an evaluation of the client’s functional abilities in the home environment to analyze their capacity to carry out daily household activities. Recommendations are provided regarding layout modifications and/or the use of assistive devices needed to make the environment safe.
